The publication was also field tested with a number of registered childminders with a wide range of experience to ensure the publication provides practical, useful information to childminders making preparations for the introduction of the EYFS in September 2008.
It is anticipated that the publication will reach all childminders by mid-July, but please be aware that not all childminders will receive the mailing
London borough of Croydon Support Programme

This is available to all childminders due an Ofsted Inspection within the next 6 - 12 months.  This support could include up to date relevant information, training opportunities or a home visit from a Support Programme Childminder.

CHANGES TO CHILD PROTECTION

IMPORTANT

Child Protection has now changed to "Safeguarding Children"

When Ofsted visit they will expect to see ALL paperwork changed

from child protection to "Safeguarding Children".

Some childminders in the London Borough of Croydon have received an inadequate grading for not updating paperwork and referring verbally to the outdated Child Protection rather than "Safeguarding Children"
