As some of you may be aware, the team at Croydon Council are currently in consultation regarding the future of their roles. This is due to be completed by 10th February. We are very concerned by this development as it means we lose a vital support level. The alternative proposed involves working with local Children's Centres but this service has not been determined or detailed yet. If you have a strong view on continuing to receive the support please email us and let us know your views. This will have a major impact on the service you can offer parents due to the training and information they provide. 

We are still running Paediatric First Aid Courses open to both CCMA members and non CCMA members - dates are on the forthcoming events page. The benefit's to members are that the course costs only £35 for a 3 year certificate. All are welcome to attend but the cost to non members is £50. Contact us if you want further information.

For those of you looking to become a childminder please also contact the Family Information Service on 0845 11 11 100 who will be able to advise you on the first steps you need to take to become a childminder. You will need to attend an initial briefing with them and then go on to take a Level 3 qualification in Homebased Childcare. This course is now run by Calat and costs £350 and includes a Paediatric First Aid Course and a Safeguarding Children course.
